A survey of post-WWII developments in the visual arts. The primary focus is upon Western art, but attention is also paid to stylistic developments in Asian, African, and Latin American countries. The central interpretive ideas and concerns for the course will be drawn from contemporary art theory and criticism. Prerequisite: ArtH 394 or permission of instructor; Eng 180 and 280.
