09F: 2A Primarily centered on the empire of the Great Khans, the Ilkhans in Persia and the Yuan dynasty in China, this course analyzes the phenomenon of the Mongolian conquests and state building from the perspective both of the cultural and political history of the Eurasian steppe, and from the perspective of world economic, cultural, and political development in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
