09X: 11 This course is designed to enable non-majors to gain some familiarity with our increasingly technological world. The nature and evolution of technology will be described, its impact and consequences, along with some applications that have been enabled. Students will gain first-hand experience with the principles of engineering design and development, as well as with assessing the impact and consequences of technology and its interdependence with other academic fields.
