Addresses focussed topics within the field of Medieval History of Art, such as the spread of the Gothic style across Europe, the regional flavors of the Romanesque, the relationship between the Byzantine and Roman churches, etc. Students define their own research projects, work with them over the course of the semester, present them within the forum of the seminar and develop them as major papers. May be repeated for credit. Satisfies the General Education Western Cultural Tradition, Cultural Diversity and International Perspectives, Artistic and Creative Expression and the Writing Intensive Requirements.
