Fundamentals of basket shooting, passing, ball handling, and footwork; patterns against man-to-man defense, zone defense, and zone pressure defense, full court and half court. Strategy of playing regular season and tournament play. Psychology of coaching. Preparation for Course P: P122 or consent of instructor. Cr. 1.5. Notes Letter grades are given in all HPER classes. Some classes are offered in eight-week sessions; check the Schedule of Classes for scheduling information. Activity classes cannot be repeated for credit.
