Lectures cover the genetic attributes of both conventional and contemporary molecular markers. Discussions focus primarily on the use of DNA-based markers to address conceptual issues in ecology and evolutionary biology (e. g., mating systems, systematics, phylogeography). Offered in odd-numbered years. Preparation for Course P: BIOL 218; one course in biochemistry is recommended.
