Basic theoretical approaches to the study of folklore, emphasizing the relationship to other humanistic disciplines such as literary and religious studies and history. May be repeated for a total of 6 credits when topics vary. Preparation for Course P: placement at or above ENG W131 (or equivalent) and exemption from or completion of ENG R150. Cr. 3.
