Vertebrate diversity and the manner in which species are designed for their particular lifestyles, the relatedness and origins of the major vertebrate taxa, the basic vertebrate body plan, adaptations for feeding and locomotion, natural history of selected vertebrates, current conservation issues regarding vertebrates.
