Hours: 8 Course ID: 005941 Provides an overview of anatomy and physiology and the electrophysiology of the cardiovascular system. Includes theory and application of the 12-lead electrocardiogram, holter monitor, and stress test. Covers common cardiac medications. Prerequisite: Admission to Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Computer Literacy and documentation of successful completion of a minimum 75 hour nursing assistant course or its equivalent and CPR. [(BIO 135 or BIO 137 and BIO 139) and (PHY 151 or PHY 152 or PH 171) and MT 150 and (CHE 104 and CHM 104). Minimum C grade. Lecture/Lab: 8 credits (390 contact hours). (60 Ratio Lab).
