(232) Both semesters. Four credits. Prerequisite: To enroll in this course, a student must have earned a "C"or better in NURS 3220, 3215W, 3230, and 3292; open only to Nursing majors. Builds on students' understanding of microbiology, pharmacology, nutrition and pathophysiology as these sciences relate to childbearing families. Emphasis is on development of clinical decision making skills related to nursing care of childbearing families with a particular focus on anticipatory guidance, prevention, intervention and health restoration.
