(257) Either semester. Three credits. Three class periods. Prerequisite: MATH 2410Q. Introduction to the applied mathematical techniques in mechanical systems, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. Methods involving the application of partial differential equations, linear algebra, Fourier series, Bessel functions and LaPlace transform will be treated within the context of mechanical engineering. Case studies will be employed where appropriate.
