(228) Second semester, alternate years. Three credits. One 3-hour lecture period during which geophysical field demonstrations may be performed. Prerequisite: GEOL 1000 or 1001 or 1050 or 1051. Liu Introductory survey of surface and borehole geophysical methods and their application to hydrogeologic, environmental monitoring, and geotechnical engineering studies. Demonstrations involve geophysical field measurement, data reduction and geologic interpretation.
