(210) Second semester. Three credits. Prerequisite: Any one of the following: BIOL 1102, 1107 or 1108 or ANTH 2502, or consent of instructor. Goldman Information from a variety of animal models will be used to evaluate and expand upon current hypotheses regarding the evolution of unique hominid traits such as consciousness, language, learning by imitation, an extended period of parental care, and a highly developed and complex social system.
