(223) Both semesters. Two credits. One 3-hour laboratory period and one 1-hour discussion. Four additional laboratory sessions are required during the first half of the semester. Prerequisite: DGS 3222 which may be taken concurrently. Open only to students enrolled in the Diagnostic Genetic Sciences Program; others with consent of instructor. Human chromosome morphology and identification, aseptic technique, lymphocyte culture and harvest, chromosome banding, karotyping and microscopic analysis of normal and abnormal cases. A fee of $13 is charged for this course.
