Explores the kinds of businesses in which African Americans have succeeded; some of the largest and most profitable black-controlled corporations and businesses; and the status of blacks in banking. Is there a glass ceiling in mainstream corporate America for black Americans What role does gender play in negotiating the corporate ladder In addition to conducting their own research, students interact with a series of black businesspeople and corporate executives who share their experiences and insights.
