Reviews topics of beginning algebra including the solving and graphing of equations and inequalities, exponents, roots, and complex numbers. Continues with a study of linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational functions, and partial fractions. Introduces basic concepts of algebra, probability and statistics, vector algebra, matrices and determinates, and conic sections. Emphasizes applications of these topics. Requires students to purchase a graphing calculator, the make and model to be specified at the first class meeting.
