Describes the immediate care of acute injuries including wounds, fractures, dislocation and neurovascular, cardiovascular, and spinal trauma. The concept of universal precautions and OSHA standards are presented with the knowledge and skills required to identify risk factors of injury and illness in a physically active population. The principles used in developing and implementing risk-management and injury-prevention programs are also described. Includes CPR and first aid certification.
