Topics include general computer organization, number systems and number representations, design characteristics of major computer units, and Boolean algebra applications to computer design. Examines microprocessor architecture and organization. Studies the machine language and assembly coding of an industry-accepted microprocessor. Assigns an assembly language coding problem, and analyzes a suitable topic from the current literature.
