(234) First or second semester. Three credits. Prerequisite: Open to juniors or higher. How does a business decide where to relocate? Specialized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are now used to make retail, office, and industrial location decisions. The Internet opens new sources of timely information. This gives decision-makers unprecedented power to manage data and analyze risks. Students gain hands-on experience with GIS and Internet through projects organized around real estate problems.
