(225) Second semester. Three credits. One 3-hour laboratory period. Prerequisite: ECE 3223 or 4231. Not open to students who have passed ECE 4232. Hands-on design and measurement of optical systems and components. Lens systems and imaging, fiber- optic communications and fiber-optic sensors, diffraction and Fourier Optics, interferometry, etc. Structured experiments and design projects centered on available equipment.
