Lisa Kereszi. Hu Meets RP (0) 237a: wf 3.30-5.20238b: mw 10.30-12.20 A class in black-and-white photography extending the concerns of art 136a or b. Introduction to the use of medium-format cameras. Specialized topics include night photography, the use of flash, developing roll film, basic digital scanning, and grayscale printing techniques. Survey of the rich tradition of handheld photography and the production of artists such as Lartigue, Brassa?, Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, and Robert Adams. Materials fee: $150 per term. Prerequisite: art 136a or b or equivalent (Formerly art 137a or b)
