Concepts and applications of the most common data-analysis methods: correlation and regression, contingency tables, ttests, analysis of variance, nonparametric methods, and multivariate analyses. Selection of appropriate method of analysis and reporting results. Emphasis placed on individual analysis of real-data sets. Lecture-demonstrations and laboratory work. Data analysis assignments to be completed in SPSS. Cross-listed as STAT 568. Prerequisite: STAT 414, STAT 415, (STAT 448 or STAT 449).
