Introduces fundamental principles, physiological effects, and application techniques in the use of nonelectrical physical therapy modalities--specifically physical agents and manual modalities. Physical agents include but are not limited to hydrotherapy and hot-and-cold application. Manual modalities include but are not limited to basic massage techniques, myofascial and trigger point release, and lymphedema management. Lecture and laboratory.
