Studies the physical principles that govern flow of fluids (rheology), functional anatomy, and reflexes of the peripheral circulation. Also considers the role of the peripheral vasculature in the control of cardiac output and blood flow to special regions, such as the brain, heart, skeletal muscle, etc. Offered alternate years. Prerequisite: PHSL 511*, PHSL 512* (*may be taken concurrently); an advanced physiology course or consent of the instructor.
