Introduces electronics and computers for recording and analyzing data in biomedical research. Analog and digital electronics covered at a modular level--with practical application of the instrumentation, and applications of computers to control and recording. Constructs and uses mathematical/computer models of biomedical systems and fitting of models to data. Laboratory activities in electronics and computer simulation. Prerequisite: PHSL 511*, PHSL 512* (*may be taken concurrently); College-level physics; calculus is helpful.
