Health record content, format, regulatory and accreditation requirements, the role of the HIM professional, data collection/reporting, risk management, utilization management, and quality improvement areas. Long-term care, hospitalbased ambulatory care, free-standing ambulatory care, hospice, home health care, dialysis treatment centers, veterinary medicine, consulting, correctional facilities, mental health care, substance abuse, dental care, and managed-care organizations. Field trip to a skilled nursing facility.
