Reviews GIS methods and analytical techniques with potential for improving public health research and practice. Fields of public health considered individually. Identifies specific GIS approaches and techniques. Considers specific disciplines including: epidemiology, health promotion, international health/development, health care administration, environmental health and contamination, and emergency management.
