Examines the current status of the use of geospatial data, tools, and infrastructure in preparedness and disaster management. Explores approaches for the effective integration of existing geospatial tools into the framework of emergency preparedness and management; strategies for improving geospatial decision support in this field; and various other issues related to data availability, security, and policies. Emphasizes technology application. Prerequisite: ENVH 524; Prior knowledge of GIS.
