Examines host-parasite relationships in the context of pathogenesis and disease. Includes a survey of human microbial diseases, with emphasis on communicable disease and public health applications. Cannot be used as a prerequisite for admission to nursing and certain allied health programs. Four units of integrated lecture and laboratory.
