This course focuses on planning, diagnosis, instructional methods, materials, assessment, and evaluation techniques for teaching all levels of mathematics to students in grades 7-12 with varied needs and abilities. Topics include: understanding Ohio's academic content standards for grades 7-12, applications and instructional techniques that address the Ohio achievement and competency tests, various resources, technologies, manipulatives, and other visuals, interdisciplinary connections, various grouping techniques, best practices, and current research. Field experience required. Prerequisite(s): EDT 222, 222L, 338, 338L. Corequisite(s): EDT 305, 432L, 459.
