Description:
This course provides an in depth study of transdisciplinary teaming and collaborative assessment models in the field of early childhood special education. Included will be the transdisciplinary and collaborative nature of assessment in the diagnosis, screening, and instruction of young children (birth to age eight) who are typically and atypically developing. Emphasis will be given to the role of the family in the assessment process. Systematic observation using a play-based approach will be emphasized. Prerequisite(s): EDT 110, 212.
