This course focuses on planning, diagnosis, instructional methods, materials, assessment, and evaluation techniques for teaching all levels of integrated language arts to students in grades 7-12 with varied needs and abilities. Topics include: understanding Ohio's academic content standards for grades 7-12, applications and instructional techniques that address the Ohio achievement and competency tests, various resources, technologies, interdisciplinary connections, various grouping techniques, best practices, and current research. Field experience required. Prerequisite(s): EDT 222, 222L, 338, 338L. Corequisite(s): EDT 305, 431, 459.
