This course provides an increasingly sophisticated examination of illustration concepts and their applications. Students broaden their understanding of illustration as a visual language in projects that involve research and analysis, with a focus on image making, aesthetics, message, audience, and intent. Assignments develop effective visual narratives based on strong concepts and problemsolving methods, and refined use of media and technique, both digital and analog. Prerequisite: COMD207/208 Communication Studio I/II.
