Description:

This is a creative writing course that teaches the basics of screenplay writing. Students will read screenplays, short stories and film criticism and use the works as the basis for in-class discussion about films. By reading a script and then watching the film, students will get a sense of how ideas translate from the script to the screen. There will be in-depth class exercise and work will be read aloud. Students will write, revise, and turn in final screenplays at the end of the semester.
