This is the capstone experience in the environmental studies major. The student engages in the in-depth study of some environmental issue under the guidance of a faculty member in the environmental studies program. The project may involve extensive library research, an experiment, fieldwork, or other work appropriate to the student's interests and background. All projects result in an academic paper that is evaluated by the faculty mentor.
