This course is an introduction to biological principles for those students who are not majoring in Biology. Emphasis is placed on understanding how organisms sense, respond to, and survive in their environments. Examples from bacterial, plant, and animal kingdoms are presented in both lab and lecture to reinforce how all life is interconnected. Human diseases and their causes are also covered.
