Explores a number of theoretical perspectives and looks at how the social world shapes our knowledge, interpretation, and performance of gender. Special emphasis on how social interactions and institutions may reproduce gender di_erence and gender inequality, and at times, challenge contemporary gender roles, norms, and stereotypes.
