3 hours. (2;1) Provides students with advanced scuba diving skills, while developing an understanding of the complex ecosystems found in the marine environment. Various underwater tasks broaden student awareness of marine conservation, the environment, and their capabilities as divers. Prerequisite(s): students must demonstrate good physical stamina, the ability to complete a 200-yard swim, a 10-minute water tread and a current open-water scuba certification, or consent of department.
