Theoretical coverage emphasizes decision making, price systems, planning, information and motivation, rather than an ideological approach. Topics of modern capitalism are covered as well as the non-Western economies of the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and China. Prerequisite(s): ECON 1100 or 1110 or consent of department. May not be repeated at the graduate level as ECON 5070.
