Lipman; Reilly, L. Corequisite(s): NURS 684. This clinical course is designed to help prospective advanced practitioners develop advanced skills in physical and developmental assessment of children in a variety of well-child, ambulatory, and hospital settings. The medical management and pharmacologic treatment of various disorders will also be discussed. Data collection, data interpretation, and hypothesis formulations are emphasized. The role of the practitioner in health promotion is incorporated throughout the course. Collaboration as an integral part of screening will be an ongoing focus.
