Staff . Isotope records in tree rings, ice cores, corals, and sediments can be used to reconstruct past climate variables such as temperature, salinity, atmospheric CO2, El Nino events, cloud cover and precipitation. This course focuses on isotope techniques and applications in paleoclimatology. Special emphasis will be placed on stable carbon, stable oxygen and radiocarbon. This course is suitable for upper level undergraduates and graduate students.
