Staff. Increases in "greenhouse gases" produced through human activity appear to be affecting the Earth's climate. This course will examine climate change over the last 500 years. We will examine the available instrumental records over this time period as well as proxy climate records such as ice core, tree ring, sediment cores, coral cores and others. Students will research individual topics and present them regularly, review published articles, and attend some seminars.
