Pica. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 670. This course is designed for students to be able to analyze, synthesize and discuss second language acquisition theory and research on the basis of intensive reading of work that reflects perennial and current issues in the field. Comparisons and connections are drawn from theoretical and empirical literature on second language acquisition processes, constraints, and interventions. Relevant research methods are also addressed. Topics, issues, and readings are updated each time the course is offered.
