Prerequisites: Political Science 101 or 102. The processes by which social conflicts in American urban areas are represented and regulated. Urban political culture; ecology; group development and activity; power structures; and reform movements are surveyed. The character of the urban political "problem" and proposed solutions are evaluated. Meets graduation requirement in California state and local government. When taken with Political Science 305 or 320, will also satisfy all requirements in American Institutions.
