Two lectures and nine hours of laboratory. Prerequisites: Nursing Nursing 300 or 308, 302, 304; Child and Family Development 270 or Psychology 230. Stressors affecting the child on health-illness continuum. Nursing theory and laboratory focuses on application of nursing process in providing preventive, supportive and restorative therapeutic modalities in a variety of settings. Emphasis on the child in the family and the necessary intervention to promote adaptation of the child to attain, maintain or regain an optimum level of health.
