Limited to liberal studies majors. United States history from pre-colonial period to World War I, incorporating California with emphasis on historiography and relationship between philosophy of history and teaching. Satisfies the American Institutions requirement in American history and United States Constitution. Required of liberal studies majors. Not open to students with credit in History 409.
