One lecture and six hours of laboratory. Prerequisites: For civil engineering majors: Credit or concurrent registration in Civil Engineering 321, 444, 462, 481, and Environmental Engineering 355. At least three of these courses must be completed prior to enrolling in this course. For environmental engineering majors: Construction Engineering 430 and credit or concurrent registration in Environmental Engineering 455, 554, 556, 558. At least three of these courses must be completed prior to enrolling in this course. For construction engineering majors, credit or concurrent registration in Construction Engineering 480 and 490. Application of engineering principles and design techniques to the design of civil engineering projects.
