Introduction to fundamental processes of organisms operating at the molecular and the cellular level of organization. Other topics include chemical and molecular aspects of life, cellular metabolism, genetic information flow, theory of inheritance, genetic engineering, and principles of cellular physiology. Three hours of lecture per week. Course designed specifically for biological sciences majors, but open to others. Not available for credit to students with credit in BIOS 208. Prerequisites & Notes PRQ: CHEM 210 and CHEM 212 or chemistry proficiency demonstrated by departmental examination. CRQ: BIOS 210. Credits: 3
