A work experience for the student lacking professional industrial and systems engineering experience. The learning experience is organized and supervised cooperatively by the department and selected organizations. A wage-earning position for a minimum of six 40-hour work weeks, or 240 hours, must be obtained with the guidance and approval of the department's faculty coordinator. The student and faculty coordinator must prepare a statement of educational objectives that will become part of the student's record. A report that describes the learning experience is also required to be placed in the student's recordPrerequisites & Notes PRQ: Junior standing and consent of major adviser and supervising instructor.
