An introduction to figured bass, diatonic chord sets, secondary functions, and harmonic progression. The student will be able to identify and generate all of the above. The student will also be able to identify the following aurally: intervals up to an octave; intermediate rhythms; and the i, ii, iii, IV, V, and vi chords in root position. Prerequisite: WM 181 Musicianship Skills I or consent of instructor. (3)
